Story

In February my Grandson Ronan was a normal healthy 18 month old. 1 night he started to spasm, painful spasm and he was taken to Grimsby Hospital and rushed to CT scan. They found some worrying shadows and was sent via ambulance 90 mins away to Sheffield Children's Hospital. His illness is a mystery and the cause unknown. He will unfortunately no longer be the same as he was before. Their is damage to his brain and the painful spasms are uncontrollable. He is non verbal and will likely remain on a feeding tube. He has also lost mobility. His parents have never left his side but their is hope. They are learning with the help of the hospital to take care of him, his medication, his feeding tube and to engage with him. This is where I need help, where Ronan needs help. He can have a great future with his mum, dad and his older brother but will desperately need adaptations to support him. The first being a specialist wheelchair so he can enjoy being out with his family. Your support however small will help the family who have given up everything to be by his side and walk this road with him.
