Story
This gorgeous little boy is the grandson of our driver, Iain. Throughout this year the team at Coffee Care have been following the courageous journey Rory and his family have been on.
Two days before his first birthday in May, Rory was diagnosed with AML, a severe form of leukaemia (Adult acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes abnormal myeloblasts (a type of white blood cell), red blood cells, or platelets.)
Following two months of chemotherapy in Palma, Mallorca, he returned home and to Leeds General Infirmary in the hope of reducing his cancer levels to a point where he could have a bone marrow/stem cell transplant. This battle is continuing, although time is running out.
The team at Coffee Care will be running the 5km Santa Fun Run in Skipton, on Sunday 27th November to raise money in support of Rory and his family. Any donations would be much appreciated. Money raised through your generosity will go to several charities, both here and in Mallorca, which have done so much to help Rory and his family and will continue to help others. Thank you for your support.
