I am going to run the 10K Christmas cracker in Weston super mare to raise money to help save the Birnbeck Pier for the future.
Birnbeck regeneration trust are trying to raise enough money to conduct a feasibility and structural survey with a view to then getting heritage lottery funding. They are almost half way in their aim to raise £45k.
Birnbeck Pier is the only Pier built on an island and is such a great piece of our history that it cannot be left to fall into the sea. Regeneration would benefit not only those who live in Weston super mare but for all of those people who visit here.
After several visits to the site, I want to do what ever I can to help raise the necessary funds in order the restoration project can begin and would really appreciate any money you can give to sponsor me to run the Christmas cracker.
