Monkton Arts has had four Bandstands designed by Karl Stedman. They are based on the themes of 'Victorian Seaside', 'Carnival' and 'The IOW Festival'. We would like to see the bandstands back on Ryde seafront in three locations. Western Garden, Eastern Gardens and Appley Park; as well as a fourth portable bandstand which can pop up anywhere in town! These bandstands will fill the town with culture and joy as well as start to form a cohesive creative narrative through our town.
