Julie McDonnell, a bell ringer from Hastings who has Leukaemia (CML) has founded a group called SBABC (Strike Back Against Blood Cancer) whose aim is to raise the awareness of the 137 blood cancers that exist We also promote the awareness of Donors Registers such as Anthony Nolan and DKMS and the work of Bloodwise. Do date we have raised 5.5 million.

Our fundraising has changed due to the fact that 2nd Stem Cell Transplant funding has been removed for all blood cancers sufferers in England. NI, Scotland and Wales funding remains in place. This is totally disproportionate in relation to fairness. We have raised a Parliamentary Petition and have asked RT Hon Amber Rudd as our MP to help investigate why this funding has been withdrawn. We also ask you to sign the Parliamentary Petition to get this funding reinstated.

SBABC efforts go to help those that are in urgent need of 2nd Stem Cell transplants in England with a key emphasis on children. All further monies raised will go directly to these blood cancer sufferers until such a time NHS England reinstate the funding for those that live in England.

The Counties "Julie McDonnell Day" on the 3rd Dec.The "Cluedo Day" on the 9th December 2016 for any lottery tickets of £5. The 10 "Julie McDonnell in a day challenge and the 16 "Julie McDonnell" in a day in Derbyshire. Also for any contributions for SBABC. Please help us save the lives of blood cancer sufferers, particularly children.
