Hello everyone!

We have created this page to raise money for the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) of Singleton and Bridgend.

We are hoping to raise £1000 to help replace or purchase new equipment and to improve facilities available to staff and parents on the unit.

Over the past 2 years I have become an Uncle to my niece Aoife and a Dad to my son Asher.

Both Aoife and Asher were patients at both Bridgend and Singleton when they decided to come into the World.

Aoife had complications at birth due to being breached and Asher was born 10 weeks premature.

The SCBU did an amazing job looking after them both and they continue to look after other small babies and also support parents who may be struggling with complications of a birth and not really prepared for their baby to be in Special Care.

I want to raise money to say Thank you and also provide some awareness as people probably don't appreciate the hard work and dedication of these individuals.

Right.... what am I doing to raise the money?

Our plan is to complete The National 3 peaks challenge within 24 hours, Myself, my brother in law Gary who is a loving uncle, Matthew and Scott

This will be self funded all proceeds will go to SCBU.

The Three Peaks (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) are the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales. The challenge is to climb each of these three peaks - one after the other

26 miles (42km) total horizontal distance, 3,000m (9,843ft) of vertical ascent, 3 peaks.

This is a tough event and we must prepare to do without sleep.

We aim to complete the event in 24 hours - to do this we need to complete Ben Nevis in 5 1/2 hours, Scafell Pike in 4 1/2 hours and Snowdon in 4 hours

We hope you will all support us in our fundraising journey and I plan to document the trip and share it with you once I have completed it.
