Story
We aim to buy 35 memory boxes for SCBU families. Many families are hours from home and a memory box will allow them to keep their babies' precious treasures safe until they are home-so it's important to us that we buy something special. We'd love these Peter Rabbit boxes from Paperchase http://www.paperchase.co.uk/peter-rabbit-lrg-box.html and have approached them for a discount. However, the current price is £135 for 30 (we have 6 boxes leftover from last year that we can use also).
We asked parents who spent last Christmas on the ward what they would have found useful. They suggested the small packs of cordial to spruce up the water cooler fare on the ward. The cheapest we can source are £1.25 each from Aldi. the cost for these will be £43.75.
Anything over this amount that we raise will be used to buy packaging materials.
We currently have knitted items, guardian angel charms, snacks, fans, tea, coffee and Christmas cakes to complete the boxes.

I spent Christmas 2013 at the RVI SCBU with our first born daughter who was a very poorly baby. Staff were brilliant and Christmas wasn't forgotten but this idea is brilliant - good luck!
