Story
A new project by the [SJDA UK] to provide free accommodation for international doctors in their first months in the UK. Once they arrive in the UK to do the PLAB course and/or PLAB exam they can live in the doctors’ house which will be allocated close to a famous course venue and the GMC building where the exam is conducted. This will support Sudanese doctors by taking off the burden of searching for accommodation, reducing the expenses of coming to the UK to do the PLAB exam and will also allow peer support, networking and benefiting from previous experience.
The Doctors House Project Rational
A project which Insha Allah will be of a great value for the new Sudanese doctors arriving in the UK to do their exams and start the GMC registration process in order to pursue a medical career in the NHS.
We all know the big challenges new International doctors face when they first arrive in the UK .One of the major challenges is finding a suitable accommodation and its financial burden. This can be very stressful and in addition to other challenges including living in a new environment and experiencing a different culture, it can sometimes significantly compromise the preparedness and performance of the doctors in their exams.
We in SJDA are strongly determined to help our brothers/sisters/new colleagues to settle down in a suitable house without having to worry about money or going through the hustle of house hunting .Most of us had been through this and up until now help is offered informally by individuals depending on personal circumstances.
We would be much appreciated if you and suppose this important project
