I've raised £5000 to support The Finley James Fund, Broomfield Blossom Suite, Broomfield NICU Baby Bereavement Services, and A Sky Full of Hearts.

Georgie and Jenni started raising awareness and funds for Baby Loss Charities in 2020 when they both suffered traumatic experiences with Baby Loss themselves. They soon came to realise how alone they both felt and that there was little understanding for baby loss families in the community and they have continued in their mission every year since.
Georgie lost Finley James to Neonatal Death in June 2020. At just under a day old, he had his life support turned off. Finley was born with a very rare form of cancer that caused his body to start shutting down when he was born. He fought for hours to stay with his mum but his little body couldn’t hold on any longer. This caused an unimaginable heartbreak and left Georgie feeling lost, unable to take her baby home from the hospital.
Very soon after, Jenni suffered her second miscarriage after carrying her baby (that didn’t grow past 8 weeks) in her womb for 18 weeks. Her bump was noticeable as her placenta had continued to grow and she had to explain to anyone who asked about it, that her baby had died. As the baby didn’t leave her body naturally, she had to have surgery to have it removed. The whole experience was incredibly traumatic both physically and emotionally.
Both Georgie and Jenni had very different stories and lost at very different stages, but both were overcome with grief. Grief that felt crippling, and seemed very misunderstood by those around them…. So they decided to start raising awareness and fundraising for local charities.
Georgie has fought to keep Finley’s memory alive for her family and his siblings since he died so that he is always remembered, treasured and honoured. In 2021, The Finley James Fund was founded by Georgie. It has made an incredible impact in the community. The Finley James Fund offers vital support to grieving families by providing keepsakes and memory items that can offer comfort during such a difficult time. The charity not only honours the memory of Georgie’s experience but also expands its services to touch even more lives, from pendants with Angel babies prints to the creation of memory boxes, rainbow baby packs, and sibling boxes. These initiatives are a beautiful way to ensure that families experiencing loss feel supported and remembered, especially during emotional times like the holidays with the baby loss Christmas Tree and Town Centre lights. It's clear that The Finley James Fund plays a crucial role in offering comfort and remembrance to families in need.
Blossom Suite at Broomfield played a special role in providing Georgie with much-needed comfort after the devastating loss of her son. Through both support and precious mementos, Blossom Suite helped Georgie create lasting memories of her son, ensuring that she could keep his memory alive forever. They are always at the heart of the annual fundraising.
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Broomfield also provides essential and compassionate support, especially when a family experiences the heartbreaking loss of a baby. It's important to recognise the critical condition of the babies in the Neonatal Unit, where sadly, many do not survive the first few weeks of life. Jenni’s rainbow baby was cared for by the Broomfield NICU and almost didn’t survive so we understand the importance of raising funds for this vital unit. Her experience highlighted the need for continued support the bereaved families who receive special care from the unit.
This year, Jenni and her friend Fiona started A Sky Full of Hearts. An organisation dedicated to supporting families who have experienced miscarriage and early loss. A Sky Full of Hearts aims to provide a compassionate community where grieving families can find solace and connection with others who have faced similar hardships. Starting in September, The Sky Full of Hearts is a local support group, creating safe spaces for families to share their experiences and support one another. In addition to emotional support, the charity plans to offer keepsakes to help families honour and remember their lost babies, providing a tangible way to cherish their memories.
All of these incredible services come at a cost, and sadly, baby bereavement services often receive little to no funding. Most of these places rely heavily on donations. Your contribution allows us to help other families with angel babies, like Georgie’s beautiful boy Finley, Jenni’s babies and many, many others. 🩵💖🩵💖
Please help us raise the funds needed for these amazing organisations to continue providing love, support, and cherished memories to families facing the unimaginable loss of their little ones.
Thank you all so much for your ongoing support!
