Story

Dear Friends,

On Sat 30 Sep, I had the opportunity to support a great cause and raise funds for Blood Cancer UK and the Matthew Wilson Multiple Myeloma Fund.

It was an opportunity to walk alongside Matthew Wilson himself and trek 13 miles through the South Downs towards Eastbourne.

This event was sponsored by Brit Insurance and a big thank you to Sheel Sawhney, Head of Claims @ Brit Insurance for letting me know about this event.

Matthew Wilson has fought a long & hard battle himself to get back to a normal life with sheer grit & determination. Today, he is actively working to drive forward the day we can find a cure.

By the time I learnt about this event, the registrations were closed... I did not lose hope and kept trying... and on Fri 29 Sep, less than 24 hours before the event, I got a confirmation from the event mgmt team, to join the 100 other people taking part to raise funds for investing in science and scientists which will improve treatments, survival rates and quality of life for people living with multiple myeloma.

It was a demanding 13 miles through the South Downs, trekking along the seven sisters from Seaford to Eastbourne which took (me) almost 6 hours to complete... #didit

In view of the above, may I respectfully request your support for the cause... no amount is too small and I hope to raise the targeted £1500.
