Story

I am Sajeda Taha Alshreehy, from Palestine, Gaza, a fifth-level medical student at the Islamic University of Gaza.

I am writing to you after a lot of thought and hesitation, but my hope of saving my educational future as a doctor and saving my life gave me the courage to ask you for urgent assistance in evacuating me from Gaza to a safe place to complete my dream and complete my education.

As a student studying to become a good doctor one day and help my patients and my country but as the genocide continued on my city, I made the decision to be a seed of goodness in my country and help the medical staff who were exhausted by the war So I chose to volunteer at Al-Aqsa Hospital in the emergency department    from the beginning of the war on Gaza strip. I have shown unwavering dedication and work tirelessly even though the cases are beyond my ability as a student but I am still learning and practicing my profession as a specialist doctor despite not having taken the official oath yet. And I work full-time in the hospital every day and leaving my own family behind

One day after dealing with serious injuries in the hospital, I was shocked by the news that I had lost my university. The university and all its branches had been bombed and it was reduced to rubble by a merciless occupation.

Today, my dreams have become ashes, like the ashes that prevail in the Gaza Strip.

I am a girl full of dreams. I dreamed of becoming a doctor specializing in the cardiology department in the future after I finish my bachelor's degree in medicine. I was working to be an outstanding student and I was going to become the first doctor in my family.

Before the war on Gaza, my family used to provide me with all the money and equipment necessary to complete my educational career, but today, because my father lost his job at the beginning of the war and his monthly salary stopped, I have become helpless and handcuffed. I do not know what to do to complete my educational and medical career.

My present and future are in danger, so with your support and help by donating, I can try to survive and start a safe life outside the Gaza Strip, and I can complete my dream of obtaining a medical degree and practicing my profession.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in my life and give me hope for a better future.
