It is that time of the year again when we create our Fund raising page for our annual summer BBQ. As most of you know I was diagnosed in 2013 with Breast cancer and underwent 6 rounds of Chemo and 20 radiotherapy sessions to remove the nasty hitchhiker from my body. I was one of the lucky ones and have literally just had my most recent clear screening results from my latest mammogram. However, a lot of people are not so lucky and in recent years we have raised money for either Breast Cancer now or Look Good Feel Better. This year is a bit different. We will be raising money in memory of our beautiful friend Helen. Helen sadly lost her fight this week but my god she put up a bloody good one !!! I always hated people calling me a fighter but Helen really was !! Helen was a well known & well loved person in our community and we’d love to remember her and raise money to continue her fight against this terrible disease.

We are still raising money for Breast Cancer Now but they have merged with a Secondary Cancer Charity called Second Hope - Second Hope will continue to operate as a separate charity but will be administered and owned by Breast Cancer Now. Any money you give will continue to fund secondary and advanced breast cancer research, in line with Second Hope aims and ambitions.
