Samantha is a very talented up and coming bmx rider, only doing her first club race in march 2015. Samantha rides for her beloved club knightwood in chandlers ford Hampshire, where with the help from the coaches Samantha surprised all with her natural ability going on to get:
Knightwood club 9-10 girls 1st place
Bournemouth club 9-10 girls 2nd place
Gosport club 9-10 girls 2nd place
Samantha then went on to south regional races finishing 3rd and qualified for world championships in Belgium finishing 35 in the world for her age group. lending to now qualified 7th for the world championships in South caroling USA.
Which brings us to why we have set up this just giving page, bmx isn't a cheap sport and Samantha comes from a family with three siblings that also love the sport so as you can imagine funds can be tight.
so let's get behind this budding young local talent and even just a few spare pennies could help this kind,big hearted young lady fulfil her dreams.
I asked Samantha to write something in her own words " When it comes to bmx racing I always like to help with other riders,brushing the berms and help setting up on knightwood race days. There is a special man down the track on training days helping fixing bikes his name is dave. Every Thursday and Saturday I have training I always listen to my amazing coaches who help me achieve my best even when I don't think I can do it. I race with the boys in club races.I would love to go to south carolina and show what I'm made of and to say thanks to the people at knightwood and mind (mental health charity ) that have made these opportunities possible.
