We are a group of Brighton-based mothers meeting weekly to assemble care packs for Samara’s Aid Appeal, which supports young families affected by the crisis in Syria.

As mums who live comfortable lives in Britain, we can't sit by and watch the suffering of millions without doing something. Since aid agencies and governments are currently unable to provide enough humanitarian relief to help these people, there is a need for us to take action to play our own small part.

The care packs contain brand new, essential items for expectant mothers, babies, families and vulnerable women who have escaped ISIS. Samara’s Aid transports the care packs - along with medical supplies, shelters, blankets and clothing - to displaced people and refugees in Syria and Iraq.

Since October 2014, Samara’s Aid has sent 50 artic lorries and containers of aid to Iraq, Syria and Jordan, but the need continues…

The cost of a care pack is £50.

You can support the appeal in one of two ways:

1. Give a donation towards a care pack and we will buy all items, pack and send out once we have raised the full cost of a pack.

OR

2. Give a care pack: donating £50 covers the cost of a complete pack and we will buy and pack all the items for you. Please remember to email a photo of yourself and we will add it to the message of hope sent with each individual care pack.
