I've raised £350000 to fund the purchase of Kirkby Mallory Schoolroom

Please note this is a village wide initiative with 22+ very active campaigners /fundraisers. As we are still awaiting charity status and due to the extremely short timescale we have to raise funds, I have set up a crowdfunding page on behalf these 22 very dedicated villagers (Paul Sandford-James ,Jayne Sandford-James , Jayne Ball , Liz Pickering , Rachel Marston , Diane Lucking , Dena Hawkins , Ian Hawkins , Kath Green, Charlotte Irving, Rosemary Hagan) +10 others.
Our village schoolroom was left in trust to the parish of Kirkby Mallory in 1921and has been used by the village and wider community extensively for many events and gatherings since this time.
Regrettably the only remaining trustee is the incumbent Vicar and due to this risk the diocese of Leicester have decided to put our village schoolroom up for sale.
This now puts at risk the "outstanding" Ofsted rated Playgroup , the vast programme of village social events , the very popular Micro Market and a meeting hall for villagers. All the above events many people in the wider community attend and enjoy.
In total we need to raise £350000 in 6 months to secure the building, of this sum we are hoping a significant amount will be obtained from the community ownership fund, but we simply dont know how successful our bid will be, even if we do obtain this funding the schoolroom is in urgent need of modernisation.
Please help by donating whatever you can to save this wonderful historic building for the people of today and generations to come.
If we are unsuccessful in saving this vital community asset the monies raised will be put towards future village projects.
