Story
The open space at Bunyards Farm off Beaver Road, Allington has been used for decades by local residents as of right as an area of open space for recreation. Our campaign plans to officially register the site so that it can continue to be used and is protected by being allocated village green status. A substantial amount of work has been done, we passed the KCC regulation committee and are now working towards a public inquiry in March. We have a very strong case, but at each stage we require legal advice which is very costly. Please get involved and follow us on Facebook .

3 months agoThank you for donating to the Bunyards Village Green Application. The public inquiry will start on Tuesday at County Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend. Your money has mostly been spent on legal advice which has been provided by Brachers LLP, they are local to the area and have given us excellent advice and support. There are 17 people from the community who will be giving evidence and their lived experience of using the site along side the case in law will be used to decide the outcome which will be published in about 6 weeks. Good luck with the fight, our green spaces are so important for our health, as is the surrounding infrastructure. If that is put under more pressure, that also impacts our mental health negatively.
