    Story

Please support our epic challenge to swim across the English Channel as a relay team of 4.

We are Ali, Amy, Catherine and Ian, who met whilst swimming at the Save Grange Lido weekly Wednesday night swim at Fell Foot in Cumbria.

We are raising money to restore Grange Lido, the only surviving seaside lido in the North West, and one of only 4 in England. The Lido unfortunately closed its doors in the early 90's and we would really like it to be reopened to swimmers.

The English Channel is the ‘Everest of Swimming’. 21 miles of busy, cold, sea separating England and France.

We will be swimming in tricky conditions, partly in the dark, amongst jellyfish and shipping containers!

We have been training hard in all weathers and conditions to prepare for the world’s most iconic swim. Crossings can take anything between 12-16+ hours, with tides potentially making the swim a lot longer and harder.

By donating you will directly support the restoration of our local swimming pool on the shores of Morecambe Bay

Thank you for your support on our mission to see the Lido restored with a 50m pool at its heart. Find out more on our website: www.savegrange.lido.co.uk
