Story
WATH TOWN HALL NEEDS YOUR HELP *URGENTLY*
Our dream as a community is to restore Wath Town Hall to the beautiful historical building it once was many years ago
Wath Hall Ltd is now looking to raise funds to make the vision happen and is looking for volunteers to come together to develop this invaluable future community asset.
As a community a group of local people are working hard to secure the future of Wath Hall as a community asset.
The organisation is a charity.
The ground floor has be almost completely renovated redecorated, minor building works have been undertaken to secure the integrity of the building. There has been a significant start into researching the history and story of the Wath Hall. The Hall is now ready for use by the community pending go-ahead from Rotherham Council and some minor changes to the lease.
The future uses of the hall are evolving over time but now include:
A local heritage centre/museum,
A credit union
A branch office for the Citizens Advice Bureau
A cafe / restaurant
An adult learning centre
Commercially available top-quality office space for hire
Some retail space, possibly targeting low-cost, very affordable reconditioned white goods
The intention is to turn the Hall into a focal point for the community and a core part of the cultural centre of Wath.
