Where to start! In 2012 my partner was rushed into hospital after he collapsed. What was supposed to be a surgery for his appendix turned into a 12 hour Op to save his life. Matthews large intestine had numerous cacerous tumours and his large bowel had died and gone gangrene inside him. He is now left with 5 inches of his large intestine and a ileostomy bag for life. He was adapting well until the beginning of this year when he started to feel ill again.
We made the decision to have a better life last year and we bought our first boat! But March this year Matthew was rushed back into hospital and told the remaining 5 inches of large intestine are now cacerous and that he has crohns diserase in his small inestine. Doctors urged that matthew must take things easy or he would leave himself with 5 but left to live. Matthew is our main income as a tattooist and works 9-7 most days. We now have a 1 year old and decided that it was time to upgrade to a bigger boat, We bought Edeli in the summer this year. But since we have had nothing but back luck. We paid for her and hired skipper to bring her back to Ipswich from Sunderland but he phoned us and told us the boat had broken down. In the end we paid this man a total of 1k and he was then arrested for speeding and we never got out money back. The boat was left in Bridlington and whilst it was there she was broken in to and all electricals were stolen and all life saver suits all worth a large amount 5k in total. The harbour wanted no responsibility and they billed us for our stay and asked us to leave another 2k! In the end we paid a tug boat to bring her back and that cost a further 5k. There really isn't enough room for the whole story but we have been stolen from and lost so much money and my poor partner is so ill and no one in the whole world had been kind to us. His dream is just to get a little back of what we put in and to have Xmas on a finished boat for his sake, to slow down and see our boy grow up...
