Sponsor a Scottish Pine

During the week of the 14th - 20th December 2020 P1 Landscaping ltd will being implementing a small scale landscaping project to improve our canalside outdoor activity hub. The aim is to create a scottish garden that will enhance our outdoor space at Bridge 8 Hub. The project will leave a legacy through the planting of 40 Scots pine ( Pinus sylvestris ) and can live for up to 700 years.

Bridge 8 Hub over the last eight years has worked towards creating Edinburgh‘s first canal based outdoor activity hub. Thus enabling families, individuals and service users to enjoy the natural environment around the Union Canal. This outdoor space being developed will impact on the thousands of service users and local residents immediately. The importance of outdoor space in promoting improved mental, physical and emotional health has long been recognised, through research. It has shown a positive relationship between green space and general well being. It will also further benefit social inclusion and improve community self esteem.
