Story

Eight members of staff are taking on three mountains in the hope of raising some very important funds to enable Seven Fields Primary School to turn an over grown field into a forest school. There are so many benefits for a forest school and you can read all about them here: https://www.marjon.ac.uk/professional-development-for-teachers/better-forest-school

Any donations big or small will be so greatly appreciated by our entire school team.

The schedule of mountains walks is:
Snowdon in February half term
Scaffell Pike in April half term
Ben Nevis in Summer Holidays

We have a first mountain walk next week Pen-Y-Fan as a point to see how our fitness levels are, homing in on equipment we have, also looking at our food/drink intake. So this is the chance to tweak before Snowden.

By the time we reach Ben Nevis we would of walked over 100 miles in training.

We are hoping to raise funds to build our very own Seven Fields Forest School in the patch of overgrown area at the end of our big field.
Eight members of staff see take on this challenge. From Admin to Site manager, from Family support worker to Teaching Assistant, from SENCO to teachers. All walks of our school are taking on this challenge.

Mr Dawson, Miss Mitchell, Miss Iles, Mrs Sole, Miss Goss, Miss Bates, Miss Demain, Miss Grimwood.
