Story

Sevenoaks Larder is a new food support service, which helps residents of Sevenoaks who are struggling to pay for their weekly food shop.

We provide fresh, as well as non-perishable, foodstuffs to those who are struggling to afford to buy their own food in our community. Our main aim is to fundraise to be able to provide regular fresh and healthy food shops for our clients.

We also offer a delivery service which allows people discretion and confidentiality at a time when, sadly, they may feel some embarrassment or shame at having to use a food support service as well as a fear of being seen there.

We will also be collecting and distributing excess stock from supermarkets, and food donations from individuals and businesses.

We strongly believe that it is vital to try & preserve as much self-respect and dignity as possible for people when they are already at a low ebb in their lives, and this includes leaving them in charge of what they feed their families as much as possible. A Food Bank is about so much more than food.

People can self-refer or be referred to us by other agencies.

Everyone who works for the Sevenoaks Larder is a volunteer, so every penny goes to those who need our help.

We are a registered Charity, number 1192371.

More details, including how to donate food, how to access our help, or how to volunteer with us, can be found on our website www.sevenoakslarder.co.uk.
