Story

Sgt Rob Whitelaw has recently been diagnosed with Glioblastoma which is an aggresive form of brain cancer. The average glioblastoma survival time is 12-18 months – only 25% of patients survive more than one year, and only 5% of patients survive more than five years.

Sgt Chris McClennan and Insp Mark Pelley are taking on the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge on the 16th September to raise money for Rob and his family. They invite Rob‘s friends, colleagues and family to join them. A number of other fundraising events are being planned, more details to follow.

Our goal is to raise as much money a possible to pay for or contrubute to a family holiday of a lifetime for Rob, his son Joseph (16), daughters Emily (7) and Elizabeth (1) and his partner Rachel who is also a serving police officer with Northumbria police.

All donations will be very much appreciated so we can make memories for Rob and his family at this very tough time.
