Story
Shine Bright (NS) CIC recognises that our young communities are increasingly struggling with their mental wellbeing and need more options that they can access easily to help them get well, be well and stay well for longer.
Cuts across Leeds make this support harder to access. Shine Bright provides longer term 1:1 and group wellbeing, peer support and now bereavement support, to fill these gaps in Leeds and support our communities.
Shine Bright provides 12-week evidenced based WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Planning) programmes that help our young communities and their families (0-25 yrs old)
- create a personalised wellness and crisis plan,
- to move into ongoing peer support for as long as they need and
- to train to be peer facilitators, if they choose to, enabling them to help others to get well.
All funding given goes towards our direct delivery work and enables us to expand the offer to more of our communities in need.
We know bereavement services have now also been drastically reduced in Leeds as were mental health services and capacity. We will fill the gap and provide bereavement support alongside mental health utilising Nicola Swales skills as advanced practitioner in WRAP and Specialist Bereavement Support Practitioner and Manager. Help us support more families in need.
Thanks in advance for your kind contribution!
