Out of the blue on 1/08/2021 Skyla had brain bleed caused by an AVM she had since birth, no one knows unless discovered by accident that they have an AVM until it causes a problem! Skyla was blue lighted to Manchester Children's Hospital which became our home for 8 months. The bleed caused a stroke which took away the whole of Skyla's left side no feeling no movement. Skyla in the 8 months at Manchester Hospital once leaving the ICU learned to talk, eat, sit up, stand and is able to walk with a stick. She now continues a lot of physio at home working on her walking and left arm even though she still has no feeling.

Mum and Dad have funded all her private physio since April 2022 and will continue to do so until Skyla can regain the use of her left arm and strengthen her left leg.

Recently Skyla has visited a company called "The Rehab Physio" who provides the UKs best intensive treatment service, they have advised the best way to approach Skyla's needs is with a tailored programme, which is intensive physio over a course of 4 to 7 weeks, the package price is £6,400 for 80 hours of therapy. Skyla's family wants Skyla to have the best chance possible of regaining the use of her left arm but unfortunately with the current cost of her routine private physio this £6,400 is out of reach.

Skyla has come so far already she's very determined so I am hoping we can raise the money to try and help her get were she deserves to be.
