Sophie won't be appearing in our LinkedIn business community, her career has been cut short by debilitating MS.

But, we could still help her realise a dream that most of us take for granted... to do so I need to find 300 people who feel able to share just £10 each.

Sophie and I met at high school. As a young adult she had a promising career ahead of her. She was a bold and accomplished gymnast. She was a stellar physiotherapist and a beautiful, lovely, lively, sporty and energetic friend. Then MS found her in our early twenties. In the fourteen years that have passed Sophie has battled with a smile and fortitude I can only stand in awe of as her abilities to walk, then speak, then eat, were all taken from her by her debilitating and progressive MS.

Cruel and unfair? Yes. But, undeterred and unafraid, Sophie decided in 2015 that whilst there was so much she could not now do, she would not be beaten or lonely and she would find love anyway. Last Summer she found her soulmate, Jason, and they married.

Jason also has MS, but, as with Sophie, he has no intention of his illness defining him. Sophie and Jason, like any other newlyweds, would like to take a honeymoon together. But, unlike most couples, the challenge of a honeymoon trip goes beyond which sandy white beach to choose and how to fund the Pina Coladas. Sophie is physically unable to fly, so, a cruise from Southampton to Norway is the plan. However, to make this dream a reality, a cabin will need to be specially adapted for her and Jason and there will need to be two dedicated carers on board for the duration of the trip.. Special equipment will also be needed to ensure their safety and wellbeing and so, a honeymoon is just that much more complex and costly. If three hundred people gave just £10, their trip could be a reality. If you can help make their honeymoon wish a reality, they would be ever grateful. Please help me help them.
