Story
I am a 17 year old girl in the last year of high school wishing to make a small difference in the world, and my school is giving me the chance.
In 2017 we have the opportunity to go over to South Africa, Ogwini and help give pupils in an underprivileged school a better life.
As individuals we have to raise £1300 each to be able to take part in chancing someone's life for the better.
In South Africa we will each be buddied up with a pupil and spend our time with them and getting to know them while going around their classes and sharing an experience of a life time with them.
I will also have a chance to help improve the school by helping paint and make better working conditions for the students. In doing this it will make pupils feel more at home in their school and also be reminded of us when we leave.
So far I have raised money by attending bag packing events that have been set up by the teachers at my school. Also, I have created my own afternoon tea party that raised a lot of money on behalf of the trip. I am participating in the school fundraiser of 'Strickly Come Dancing' which is to happen in the close month of December.
The money raised will pay towards our flights to South Africa but most importantly, to donate to the school so they can advance for the better in the future.
By gaining support from the public would mean so much as I know that the money will be going to a charity trip that will reform the lives of others.

While balancing school and other curricular activities I am hoping to raise the funds I need to make it to South Africa to change the lives of others and give them an experience of a life time. I am a hardworking, confident individual that would love the chance to help others.
