Story
I spent many days of my childhood at South Devon Railway in Buckfastleigh, a love of steam trains inspired by my dad. Now as a mother I have passed on this love of the place to my two sons, with it holding the esteemed privilege of being my four-year-old's absolute favourite place to visit.
I was dismayed and horrified to learn of vandalism inflicted on the beautifully restored carriages, as well as thefts taking place, during the night of Tuesday 29th March. They caused £400 worth of damage.
The Railway is run almost entirely by volunteers, and is a registered charity, so to find this kind of money would be incredibly difficult. In an effort to help them with this, I have set up this page to ask anyone who has ever enjoyed a day at South Devon Railway to please make a donation to help bring these carriages back to their glory so we can all enjoy them again.
This page will be running for only 30 days, so please share and let's get to this target of £400!
Thank you!!
