Weʼve raised £90 to Support and contribute to Southwark LGBT Pride Festival 2017. This takes place June 25th to July 7th, and most events are free.

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
I had a dream that local communities would have their own Pride Festivals, so that everywhere could be part of LGBT Pride. So I went away to create a Southwark festival, virtually single-handed, and with no public funding whatsoever. Now we are a month away from the Festival, and faced with rather more bills than I expected - printing, advertising, performers' expenses, rehearsal space etc. There is a small dedicated team of helpers now, which I am very thankful for, but that alas doesn't pay the bills!
You can see the actual programme for the Festival on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SELBGTPride/
This has all come about because of the really large response of people wanting to take part. We would like to cover all these costs, and also have a small surplus to start Southwark LGBT Pride Festival 2018, which we are already thinking about.
