As many know, I took part in the Great Manchester run 2012, 2013 and again last year in 2016 managing to raise over £700 altogether for Fibromyalgia UK and Fibro Trust.

Unfortunatley, my mum suffers from Fibromyalgia and so raising money for a charity supporting her cause was what spurred me on. This year, I want to raise money for something else that is close to her heart: Shar Peis.

My mum currently volunteers for the Shar Pei Rescue of Great Britain Trust and as a family, we've rescued 5 Shar Peis so far, some which had been badly treated or needed urgent medical care. They bring nothing but happiness and joy to our family, helping my mum get up in the morning despite her illness. Therefore I want to raise money to support this trust to be able to give other Shar Peis a forever home.
