My local church, St Albans, on Broadmead Avenue, Northampton, is a lovely, welcoming place.
Recently the central heating broke in the church. It cannot be fixed and they have been told it will cost £56000 for a new system.
This church offers warmth, friendship and kindness to all. They give people hope, and teach people how to deal with life's ups and downs in a peaceful, healthy way.
I want to help St Albans Church to continue to offer the warmest of welcomes to all members of the public. They have welcomed me and my family into their church and treat us like we're part of their family.
Anything you can spare will help. £56000 is a huge amount of money, but pound by pound we can get closer and closer to it. I don't expect it to happen quickly, and I know times are tough for many of us. But if you don't try, you're already failing! So I am trying. Please spare a pound, a fiver... Whatever you can to help the wonderful church that strives to bring happiness and warmth and hope to my community.
