Story
St Leonard's School is one of a handful of state funded schools to have a boat club in the UK and as such, we rely heavily on fundraising to cover our expenses. Currently, the boat house on the banks of the River Wear has no electricity or water. Being able to provide running water and lights would vastly improve the conditions of our young rowers who train all year round, supported by amazing volunteer coaches.
Despite having minimum funding, our rowers are fantastic representatives of the ethos of the rowing community and continue to achieve success at regional and national events.
