Story

What we are doing...

St Mirren YFC 2010s players and coaches will be hiking Goat Fell on the Isle of Arran on the 13th August 2023. This trip will double as a great teambuilding experience for all as well as a fundraising opportunity. We aim to raise funds which will be used to kit the team out for their once in a lifetime trip to compete in the Barcelona Cup in late October.

Who we are...

St Mirren YFC 2010 are a grassroots club who play football in Renfrewshire, Scotland. The team is run by volunteers and consists of 23 young players from all across Renfrewshire. We train and play at the India Tyres Playing Fields, Inchinnan.

How we are funded...

The team covers its running costs of kits, equipment, pitch hires and referees by way of monthly fees paid by the parents of each player, the team endeavors to keep these fees as low as possible to help families keep their children in the sport during this tough financial climate. We do not have any other regular income and can only provide opportunities for the players by way of fundraising or sponsorship.

Why we need your help...

The St Mirren YFC 2010 squad are in need of full new training kit consisting of tracksuits, tops and hats which they will wear whilst travelling on their trip to play in the Barcelona Cup, Salou. New matching kit will allow the players to look like a proper team whilst on their travels and will also help the coaches to identify them more easily when travelling through busy airports and transfers. The total cost of kitting out all players and coaching staff comes in at just under £2000 which is our target in this fundraising drive.

What you get in return for your support...

The most valuable thing you will receive in return for your support of our wee team is the genuine gratitude of all players and coaches at St Mirren YFC 2010. You will also receive periodic updates of our hike posted to this page on the day if you would like to follow us on our adventure.
