On Sat 24th June Stanley will be taking part in the 3km radical run at Markeaton Park. This is to raise funds for a local little boy called Dawson..... In January at the age of just 15 Months he was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Hepatoblastoma (cancer of the liver) affecting just one child in every million!!
Now at just 20 months his Mummy & Daddy have been left with no choice other than to take him to America for treatment in the hope to save his life.
The doctors here have given him various chemotherapy drugs to which none have worked & the cancer has spread to his lungs. In May the doctors described the treatment as chemo resistant as the tumours are increasing in size even with intense chemo.
His Parents have found a doctor in Cincinnati that has cured many children classed as terminal in the UK but they can't get there & give their little boy the treatment he deserves without the funds.
