    Story

We would like to have a community defibrillator at Strom Park to help save lives in Whiteness and Weisdale.
A defibrillator significantly increases a person's chance of living after a cardiac arrest. Public access defibrillators are becoming more common and many local community halls are now doing the training through charity lucky2behere and raising funds to help save lives in Shetland. Whiteness and Weisdale do not have a community accessible defibrillator currently. This has been discussed with lucky2behere and they are happy to support us.
Defibrillator's through lucky2behere - which includes all of the training for people in the community - cost around £1500. We should easily be able to contribute this from the community. Injury Shetland have donated £300 to get the pot started.
Please contribute whatever you can for this cause. It could help to save the life of someone you know and care about.
