They say no one escapes Alcatraz……

To raise awareness & much needed funds for the Q.R.M.W I will be trying that very escape in the for of a triathlon.

Jumping from the Hornblower paddle steamer at the side of Alcatraz Prison, swim across the hardest a bit of water in a triathlon. Just under two miles in the notoriously cold twin current, watching for the rip tide & of course…. Sharks‼️

Provided I make it to shore it’s a swap to the bike and take on the very hilly San Francisco coastline for a fair few miles, eventually just about ready to give up & realise I have to now run the last leg that includes the notorious “sand ladder” 🥴

It would be a mean feat just to get across that bit of water, after all that’s the reason no one escaped……

So I think it’s a real challenge to throw out there & hopefully a worthwhile way to bring the charity to a forefront & gain them much needed exposure & donations.
