I've raised £500 to Support the amazing work done at Maggies Centre at Clatterbridge

Many of you will know that this Summer our Club Treasurer Karen was diagnosed with Cancer and has spent the last 7 weeks having treatment at Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.
There is a support centre at Clatterbridge called 'Maggies' - which is an amazing place with amazing volunteers. The kettle is always on and there are always biscuits and cake on the go ! However more importantly there are amazing staff and volunteers who are a real lifeline for patients and families on their Cancer journey. Maggies has centres across the country and our club want to raise funds for them to say thankyou for all the work they do.
The attached link tells you how they started. If you have the time please read about them, if you have the money or time please support our fundraising and lets raise as much money as possible for them - https://www.maggiescentres.org/our-centres/maggies-merseyside/
We are organising a 'Wheelchair Basketball Superhero Tournament' at the Ellesmere Port Sports Village on Sunday 24th Sept 2-6pm to raise funds for 'Maggies' and we are planning on making it an annual event. If you are over 14 and would like to take part please contact us to book your place.
You do not have to be an expert player - this is a fun event and we would love some of our fans and supporters to get involved in the teams. Entry fee is £5 per person and we will be running other fundraising events during the day so if you would like to donate items for a tombola or money to go in the pot we would be most grateful.
Thanks for your support from all of us here at Cheshire Phoenix Wheelchair Basketball Club.
