The team in the Emergency Department at RCHT would like to raise some funds for a truly special nurse who works in the department. Carl has been struck by more than his fair share of tradegy over the past year, yet despite the adveristy he and his wife have faced he continues to amaze us all with his positivty and kindness. Carl gives everything to his patients and his team and we would like to raise some funds to support him and his new family during this awful time.

A year ago Carl and his wife Tamsyn sadly lost their beautiful daughter Eliza, after she was born sleeping. 3 weeks ago they welcomed their daughter Florence into this world slightly earlier than expected. Just two weeks after she was born Carl developed a life changing spinal injury and was rushed to Derriford for emergency surgery. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him where he needs to learn to walk again and the ED team would like to support the family anyway we can.

We appreciate on the run up to christmas and the cost of living every penny counts at home, but if you did feel able to contribute even a small amount we would be so grateful.

It is hard to explain the positive impact that Carl has on his patients, he is a one in a million who goes above and beyond for those who come to ED in their hour of need, we want yo be there in his hour of need.
