I'm raising £10000 to support Brogan with her Friedreich’s Ataxia diagnosis

Brogan’s recent diagnosis with Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA), a very rare and incurable disease affecting just 1 in 50,000 people, is a testament to her resilience and courage. At just 15 years old, Brogan is facing an uncertain future dealing with this rare genetic disorder with unwavering determination and grace. Despite the physical limitations imposed by FA, including symptoms such as major neurological problems, muscle weakness and a loss of balance and coordination, Brogan refuses to be defined by her condition. FA mostly affects the spinal cord and the nerves that connect the spinal cord to the body’s muscles and sensory organs. This is a life limiting degenerative disorder, but Brogan continues to embrace life with an infectious optimism and an unbreakable spirit. With every step she takes, she inspires those around her to cherish each moment and never take anything for granted.
However, the financial strain of managing FA will place a heavy burden on Brogan’s family. The costs of medical care, specialised equipment and rehabilitation - among others - are staggering. As they navigate this challenging time, they need our support now more than ever.
By donating to Brogan’s campaign, you can make a tangible difference in her life. Your generosity will ensure that Brogan has access to the resources and support she needs to thrive. Together, we can ease the financial burden on her family and empower Brogan to continue living the normal life every 15 year old girl deserves. In addition to this, your money will also go towards supporting Ataxia UK and their ongoing research into finding a cure for this life-limiting disease. Ataxia UK fund research into finding treatments and cures, and offer advice, information and support to people affected by the condition.
Whilst we have no set target every donation, regardless of size, contributes to improving Brogan's quality of life and helps advancing research into finding a cure.
Join us in rallying behind Brogan as she bravely confronts Friedreich’s Ataxia head-on. Your kindness and compassion will not only provide practical assistance but also serve as a source of strength and encouragement for Brogan during this difficult time.
Thank you for your generosity and support. Together, we can help Brogan defy the odds.
Love Amelia and Sophie, on behalf of Brogan and her family x
