Story
***UPDATE: Dear all, thank you for your donations! Your support has allowed us to put together 44 tons of medical and humanitarian aid for Ukraine. Please see updates below for a description of how we have spent the money and where the aid has gone.
We have joined efforts with Baby Lifeline in order to increase efficiency and provide the most aid possible to our medical colleagues in Ukraine. We continue to fundraise but now using Baby Lifeline's platform. In light of the current situation, Baby Lifeline have expanded their remit to cover not only maternal and foetal medicine but also all medical and surgical specialties requiring help in Ukraine.
Please continue to support us in our mission to deliver life saving equipment and medicines to Ukraine by donating and sharing widely:

We are a team of surgical trainees from Cambridge, UK, helping the head of the Orthopaedic department at Isida Clinic, Hospital of Ukraine in Kyiv and operating surgeon at Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital, Valentyn Rohozynskyi, locate and fund essential surgical equipment. Deliveries via the Ministry of Health, Red Cross and UNICEF are very slow and the surgeons on the ground are desperate.
We are looking for any functional equipment
from the list below or money to help purchase these. All purchases of equipment will be done with the help of procurement departments in NHS and orthopaedic sales representatives.
Electro-coagulators (3)
Pulsed Lavage (50)
Modern integrated anaesthetic workstation (2)
Surgical aspirators (5)
External fixators (various size sets) (1000)
Negative Pressure Wound therapy devices (40)
Autoclaves (5)
C- arm (2)
We have access to a delivery corridor organised by a volunteer group based in Kyiv and Lithuania. The equipment will be delivered directly to Kyiv via Poland and convoyed by Ukraine military once inside Ukraine.
Your help and support will aid in the treatment and care of casualties in Ukrainian hospitals.
Thank you,
Dr (Miss) Anastasia Tsyben, MRCS, MB/BChir / Clinical Research Fellow / CRUK, University of Cambridge / Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge
&
Dr (Miss) Mira Pecheva, MBBS, FRCS (Tr&Orth) / Senior Orthopaedic Registrar / East of England Deanery
