Story
On Thursday 24th November, 2016 Costa Rica was hit by hurricane Otto. Many areas of Costa Rica were devastated by the fierce winds and the floods that occurred.
One of the main towns to be seriously affected by the hurricane was Upala, where my sister-in-law Susan & brother-in-law Jorge live. Luckily, they managed to get to a safe place but they had to abandon their house which was subsequently devastated by the floods.
They had only just moved into their new house last year and now all their furniture, clothes & personal items are ruined along with sentimental items, which as you can imagine, makes what happened even more distressing for them.
We are so grateful to all family and friends who kept Melissa and me informed with the situation over there. It is very upsetting to be so far away from our family and friends in times like these. Therefore, we decided to see if we could do a little something to help Susan, Jorge & family get back on their feet by setting up a fundraising account for them.
This will help repair the damage to their house and replace any ruined furniture and personal items. Any donation will be much appreciated.
Thank you!
