Sustainable Sussex provides real-work experience to people who find access to the workplace difficult, including people who have learning disabilities, mental or physical disabilities or the long term unemployed.

We are a grass-roots organisation providing horticultural and sustainable activities.

Last year we set up Sussex Chilli Farm - a project growing hundreds of chilli plants and making a range of chilli jams and oils.

Sadly this year we lost all 3 of our poly tunnels - 2 to wind and 1 to vandals, so this year we are increasing security to the field by planting permaculture hedgerows and raising funds for a full size commercial tunnel.

We are also in need of an electricity supply to our workshop, so that we can work indoors in the winter, set up our propagators and maybe even get our solar panels wired up!
