Suvarnagarbha is a friend, mentor and teacher to many. For the last 8 years he has been discretely but extensively supporting mitra study for groups and individuals on-line and in person, often for those of us who may not otherwise be able to easily access Dharma study in a Triratna context. Over time, nearly 100 people have directly benefited from his care and wisdom.

The Buddha taught that sharing the Dharma is the greatest possible gift. Survarnagarbha’s skill and commitment to offer this has been a tremendous gift to our diverse community, and in some cases truly transformative. It’s our turn now to support Survarnagarbha in accessing the Dharma in way that is meaningful to him.

The mitra study which Suvarnagarbha offers on a dana basis is currently his only source of livelihood. He lives VERY simply in a men’s community in Sheffield and has few needs. Today, with the donations he receives from his work, he is just about able to get by with basic needs (rent and food). But he does not receive enough funding to allow him to access retreats, nor attend Order Week-ends.

Suvarnagarbha, behind the scenes, is doing remarkable work for the Order, for its vitality and growth, locally and internationally. We would like to see his contribution more acknowledged and rejoiced in, as well as supported so that he can thrive. We want to see him be able to live out his Order life more fully and in greater connection with the larger Order, to which has given so much. Right now, money is the only thing getting in the way of that. Our goal is £3000, which will cover access to 2 retreats and 2 Order Week-ends a year for the next 3 years, including transportation costs.
