Story
On February 18th 2017 we will be hosting a cardiac screening event at Swansea University's Sports Village.
Working alongside local charity Welsh Hearts, we'll be screening 100-120 young people for life threatening cardiac abnormalities. Research shows that early diagnosis can save lives.
The screening will benefit Swansea University Students, Staff & Sports Village users - Individuals aged 18-35 years will be eligible to be screened.
Through events such as Disco Spin, extreme fitness challenges & a charity dodgeball tournament we have raised almost £800!
The Sports Village have set a fundraising target of £1000, with the remaining costs being funded by Swansea University.
To continue the fundraising we have organised further events including a charity Zumba Fit session; and various Swansea Uni sports club are getting involved too.

7 years agoWe've currently raised 77% of our target! Please get involved to get us over the final hurdle! On Friday 27th January the Sports Village will be hosting a one off charity session - Zumba Glow! The lovely Laura will be running the session, we're encouraging participants to wear Neon/bright colours; we'll provided the Glow sticks, Disco lights & party atmosphere! The session will run from 17.30-18.30 at the University Sports Centre on Sketty Lane. We're encouraging participants to make a donation of £2.50 to the cause.
