My name is Ibrahim or as many know me as Ibby. i am the proud captain of my team TeamIbby & we have been fundraising for our local community of Oldham mainly supporting local charities for 5 years & also helping my hospital RMCH charity & other good causes in our town.

Well I can’t believe in a few weeks on the 9th of January I will be 18 god willing. As many of you know I have spent most of my life in & out of hospital, so I never imagined I would ever get to see my 18th birthday but feel so blessed to still be here & hopefully do something for my 18th god willing, like I did for my 5 previous birthday’s instead of a party or presents donating every £ instead to our local charities. I honestly can’t thank everyone enough for supporting us especially every member of my fab team who support me so much & keep me so strong.

So for my 18th Birthday please yet again NO Party or a Single present but what would make my birthday so special is if you can please pledge £18 or what you can on this link to support 2 wonderful charities based at our local hospital The Royal Oldham Hospital both charities support so many in our town, Maggie’s & Spoons.

We all know of a loved one living with cancer & the devastation a cancer diagnosis can bring, Maggie’s Oldham based at the Royal Oldham Hospital are here to support people living with cancer & their loved ones. You don’t need an appointment, you just walk in & a member of the Maggie’s team will do all they can to support. Maggie’s have centres all across the uk & we are so blessed to have one in our town but they need our support & donations.

We also know of families who have had a baby in Neonatal Care & how frightening that can be for parents & loved ones. Spoons Charity based in the Neonatal Unit at the Royal Oldham Hospital are here to support families every step of the way & we are blessed to have Spoons in our town supporting families as it can be the most worrying time for parents but Spoons team are here to support every family & they also support families at other local hospitals.They too need our support & donations.

Both charities offer practical & emotional support & our donations will mean they can continue supporting more people living with cancer & more families with babies in Neonatal Care In our town. So please do donate what you can.

Teamibby is about supporting our town especially young people of our town letting them know they are not alone.

I hope you understand why I don’t want a party or presents. I know this is a very special birthday but I can’t celebrate my 18th when so many young people in our town are struggling especially young people dealing with a cancer diagnosis or having a loved one dealing with a cancer diagnosis or a young person having a sibling or relative in Neonatal Care.

So to mark my 18th birthday the best present I could wish for is to see if we can raise £1818 for Maggie’s & £1818 for Spoons. please can you help us raise this as hitting this target for both these wonderful charities will mean far more than a party or any present.

The total raised on this page will be equally split between Maggie’s Oldham & Spoons.
