Dementia is one of the Top 3 of causes of death in UK . It is the 'little known or talked about disease ' . My Mum was diagosed and has been living with this debilitating Disease and now , is in the later stages of her journey with Vascular Dementia, where eventually the person she was , is no longer there ..

My son Sam and I are doing a Marathon Trek26, on September 4th 2021, over the challenging Brecon Beacons, in 9 hours , to raise funds in aid of the Alzhiemers Society for much needed support for affected people, their familes and to further research see here https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/ .

This disease has no respect for human relationships, and eventually disconnects those with it from there nearest and dearest.

We want to help future potential sufferers and their families with treatment and support.

We both enjoy walking, but this will be a whole new challenge, testing our ability and endurance.
