This last couple of years have been particularly difficult for Helena and I's family we have both lost or Mothers both of whom have suffered from Dementia and Alzheimers in the later years of their life. We have lost a brother in law to cancer and have seen other in the family fight cancer and survive. This cycle fund raising event is is our families way of drawing peoples attention to these diseases and our way of saying thank you to the people who have helped us through these times. Hopefully the money we raise will go some way towards the fight to eliminate theses diseases so that other families in the future do not have to experience the heart ache we have felt and also to help make sure the care and support is in place for those families going through similar ordeals.
