The Paul Russell Foundation was set up in memory of our son, Paul, and to date we have formed 2 groups for the Dromore and wider communities.
LIGHTS (Living In Grief Help Through Support) bereavement group to support people who find themselves travelling on a journey they never wanted to be on. We meet once a month in Barrel and Bean with guest speakers, councillors and in-house nights. We plan to have trips out later in the year.
Our second group is called 'The Pringle Club', which is a social group for vulnerable adults. This provides a social space with activities to suit all needs. A much needed group so that our members can feel included in their own community.
Today I received a quote for almost £1,000 for insurance to cover our groups. The small amount of money we had already raised to purchase resources for our groups is now needed to pay insurance.
