Story
Building Schools for Africa (BSFA) https://www.buildingschoolsforafrica.org/ raises funds to replace crumbling and dangerous school buildings in remote rural villages in Cameroon, with durable, hygienic, and weatherproof classroom blocks, new latrines and clean drinking water supplies.
The charity has supported thousands of children to get a good education which has really helped to increase their life chances. So far, we have constructed 328 fully furnished classrooms at 111 schools.
As well as a Trustee for Building Schools for Africa I am also an award-winning filmmaker https://mainroadfilms.co.uk/ and the next short film ‘The Donation’ is being produced in April 2024 on behalf of Building Schools for Africa in Cameroon.
Logline: A miserly factory owner finds himself totally out of his comfort zone as he reluctantly takes a trip to Africa with the persuasion of his granddaughter, to see what a difference financing a new school could make to a very poor community.
The film is a comedy with a serious corporate social responsibility message. We have no funding to make this film, but the small crew and actors are doing this pro bono because they believe the film is so important to be made.
Donations are needed to support the cost of location logistics, plus some post-production. If you would consider supporting in anyway it would be hugely appreciated.
Any donations no matter how small will be much appreciated.
If you wish to make a significant donation and be credited as an executive producer please contact andrew@mainroadfilms.co.uk
For a donation of £100 or more will enable an invite to a premier screening.
Please leave an email address if you would like a link to the film in the future.
If we over achieve our target, donations will be sent to Building Schools for Africa.
