A young person dreams of becoming a pilot and discovers that without considerable financial support, it simply isn’t possible. And in today’s aviation industry this is all too true. So with your help, we are going to change things. Through funding initiatives and scholarship, we will create opportunities for those who demonstrate real passion to become a commercial airline pilot.

Why are we doing this? In recognition of a man called Mike Langley and his significant contribution to the aviation industry. Sadly, Mike lost his battle with cancer in April 2017, but he remained passionate about making training accessible to all those who had a dream to become a commercial pilot but lacked the financial resources.

Following a distinguished career in the Royal Air Force, Mike Langley played a pivotal role in ab-initio training in the UK over the last 25 years working with self-funded pilots, airlines, universities and regulatory bodies from across the globe. Mike was also a founder member of Kura and Head of its Advisory Board.
